Transportation
DWDM Y SDH
DWDM allows reaching unimaginable data transmission capacity in comparison with other technologies (SDH/SONET, WDM). As of the latest developments in optical component design, (fiber optics, optical amplifiers, and optical multiplexers), currently it is possible to transmit 100 gbps through just one lambda. Considering that DWDM allows transfer of up to 128 lambdas through one optical fiber, this means a total transmission capacity of 12.8 bits per fiber.
DWDM technology allows transmission of several carriers on just one fiber, trasmitting different signals independently (SDH 2.5Gbps, 10Gbps, ATM, IP, etc.) This large transmission capacity, in addition to significant fiber resource savings and the possibility of covering great distances means significant cost savings.
OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORK
OTN systems (optical transport network) can easily handle increasing broadband demands for data service and backhaul mobile, fronthaul, data center connectivity, and GPON/EPON extension.
OTN networks integrate transportation, multiplexing, switching, protection, and client traffic management all in one box. Compact OTN systems easily meet high broadband demands from public and private clouds, as well as from software defined networks that require Gigabit Ethernet or higher. OTN systems enable FTTH and LTE/4G app system operators to save on OPEX and fiber resources by implementing fronthaul mobile and GPON/EPON
Multi-Service Platform OTN
iTN8600-II/iTN8600-V
These are new transmission and intelligent access platforms designed for future service requirements. iTN8600 series integrates cross connected OTN, MPLS-TP, and SDH functions and provides integrated access to all services and cross connected flexible multi-core.
iTN8600 is perfect for mobile Fronthaul, which enables mobile operators who wish to minimize OPEX, broaden radius coverage. It also enables network operators to multiplex up to 30 2/3/4G CPRIs and broaden range over 25km.
